M79 Grenade Launcher
This is a game-ready 3D model of the iconic M79 Grenade Launcher, affectionately nicknamed the "Thumper." Designed with a focus on both historical accuracy and visual storytelling, this piece captures the raw essence of the Vietnam War era.
The design and the 'Tiger Stripe Camo'' draws heavy inspiration from the gritty and evocative atmosphere of the Vietnam War, as portrayed in films like Apocalypse Now. My goal was to evoke a sense of history and authenticity, bringing out the worn and battle-tested nature of the weapon. Special attention was given to the wooden stock, aging metals, and subtle environmental dirt, reflecting its use in challenging conditions.
Modeled in Blender and textured using Substance Painter, this piece totals 22k tris and comes with 4k PBR textures for a high level of detail and realism.
